Fun in the Rain and Weekly Meals

We have been getting quite a bit of rain lately, and the toddler has been enjoying his new rain boots and rain coat. One day when we came home, he had tons of water in his boots, but he was still upset that we said it was time to go home and take a nice, warm bath…

On to this week’s meals:

Tuesday: Baked Eggplant and a Salad – We haven’t had eggplant in years; I had totally “forgotten” about it…

Wednesday: Wrapped Up Wednesday: Salmon, marinated in lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper and then grilled. We’ll wrap the salmon into lettuce leaves and top it with a lemon/cucumber/dill yogurt sauce.

Thursday: Kimchi Stew (Korean Pickled Napa Cabbage) and Rice

Friday: Salad Friday. What it’ll be will depend on the CSA delivery.

Don’t forget to enter my giveaway. It is open until Thursday, January 21 at 9:00 p.m. PST. You can get up to five entries.

Question: When was the last time you played in the rain? You are never too old…

Be well,
Andrea

  4. Nick brought home a picture of himself from when he was young (about 1 year) and I thought about your son. Nick had hair similar to his, and the smooth, baby skin, and precious smile :) It's on our fridge right now and I'm obsessed with it, I can't stop looking at it!

I haven't played in the rain for quite some time, but I DID make a snow angel, as a way to sort of "be a kid again".

I had eggplant for the first time in quite a while on Monday. It's SO GOOD.

  8. I love the rain. I relish the days when rain arrives in LA. I remember when I was a kid I'd always play outside. I didn't care if I got sick, too. I love the toddler's boots, so cute!

  12. The last time I played in the rain was during a tropical storm in New Orleans. I think I was in 8th or 9th grade. My friend and I walked on the levees in the middle of the storm. It was fun =)

  15. I was caught in the storm today. And got my jeans and shoes all wet. And I still had to go to a 2-hour session class. Not fun.

So yeah, I won't be playing in the rain anytime soon, lol.
