Great CSA Delivery

I think this week’s CSA delivery was the best one so far. Here is what we got:

And here is what I’m planning to do with the fruits and veggies:
  • Tangerines – eat as is
  • Pears – eat as is
  • Baby Bok Choy – stir fry, probably with mushrooms
  • Savoy Cabbage – I love to slice it thinly and marinate it a bit in salad dressing. I have used TJ’s Goddess dressing before, but I’ll make one of my one dressings this time.
  • Avocadoes – I love avocado on dark, crusty, whole grain bread, but the toddler already spotted the avocados and declared that they are his!
  • Butternut Squash – I think I’ll make some butternut squash soup.
  • Cauliflower – I’ll make smashed cauliflower with cheese and herbs.
  • Red Leaf Lettuce and Red Radishes – They will marry and make a nice salad tonight!
  • Leeks – I'll make some more leek soup.
  • Red Norland Potatoes – Not sure yet, but it may be time for eggs again potatoes...
Question: What are you cooking/eating/drinking/baking this weekend?

Be well,
Andrea

  9. Wow, what a great delivery. I am so jealous. It all looks great and I love your plans for all of it. This weekend, and I think you already know, we made cream of broccoli soup with the bread bowls. We may do bagels again to day but I don't know. Ryan was also talking about making pizza on his new pizza stone since the pizza final got here yesterday.

  11. Yep, I would have to say this is the best CSA delivery I've ever seen. I mean, you got avocado and butternut squash!! Wow, the difference between California and Ohio is huge. Obviously....

This weekend I'm not doing much cooking. I did make fajita turkey burgers last night though, and they were actually REALLY good!

  12. Your bok choy is so pretty! It never gets to Indiana looking quite that good but I can live with that. Love hearing what you'll do with everything. Ina Garten had a CSA box she was dealing with on her show yesterday!

  17. Wow! Great delivery indeed! Avocados and tangerines are favorites of mine, and you can never go wrong with stir fry or leek soup! I almost picked up some leeks this weekend, but there just aren't enough days in the week to have so many things on the menu! We're trying a turkey bolognese tonight and I made vegan fig muffins that were outstanding!
