A few weeks ago, I went on a little road trip to the Sacramento area. I was excited that my Paige Bell Bottom Jeans fit again because I love the way they feel and look. And, let's be honest, nothing feels better than being able to fit into jeans again that had been too tight for a while.
I've had the pink Coach travel bag for years, and it's been on countless trips. It always comes with me on longer trips as it folds and can be stored in a little pouch and is therefore perfect when you need some extra luggage.
The first stop was Old Town Sacramento. Even though it's very touristy, it was a fun place to check out for a bit.
The next day I got up bright and early to take a barre class with my friend Lara. Lara and I met through our blogs in 2009. At the time she lived in England, then she lived in the Bay Area for a while, moved out of state for several years, and is now back in the Sacramento area. I'm glad that we've been able to nurture our friendship over the years.
Her younger son turned two, and I wasn't going to miss the party. I wore my Paige Bell Bottom Jeans with a blue and white Tommy Hilfiger sweater.
It was fun to check out the Federalist in Sacramento with some friends. I loved the kombucha as well as the polenta and the kale salad.
And, of course, when there is a mural wall, you have to take photos.
And I absolutely loved the pink house we came across.
As you may have noticed, I've been absent from the blog for a couple of months. December was a hectic month as I finished up the fall quarter and prepared for our trip to Germany. I was very glad I got to visit my parents, but things were not easy. And, unfortunately, Andy's dad suffered another stroke while we were in Germany, so January was another difficult month.
My blog has always been my happy place, and I'm glad to be back!
