Simple pleasures - yes, I try and be mindful to do that quite often. Today, I'm so grateful to have woken up next to my husband and started the day with a cold, 2 mile run together :)
Yes...grandkids are great reminders to see the world anew and enjoy the simple pleasures of life! Picked an apple from a tree lately? It is so much fun to look from the ground and struggle to find and pick the prettiest, biggest apple available!
Heehee, even though I'm not a toddler, I still enjoy food as much as he does :) although I admit that sometimes I feel a little guilty if it's not healthy.
Gosh, he's so cute (I know I say this every time, but I swear he is an adorable kid)! It's funny how we can learn so much from kids. They have the imagination, the fun, the simple enjoyments that many of us have forgotten!
i didnt usually do it until i had my little boy. there are moments when u just wanna stop doing anything and gaze at him for a whole day! i'm sure u feel the same too when facing such adorable kid!
So cute...makes me excited to start a family of my own! I do try to make it a point to enjoy simple pleasures, but there certainly are days where I forgot. Today I'm going to make sure I don't forget :)
SO CUTE, Andrea! I've got twin cousins that are just 1 year old and seeing them get excited about opening up a drawer (the mystery! What will be inside it?!) is definitely a good reminder to slow down and take the time to appreciate the little things in life.
I find it increasingly difficult to find the time to take a breath to enjoy the simple things. I think when you're self-employed, your life becomes work 24/7. But I try to make a point to do at least one thing every day that gives me a breather. Even if that means sweating for an hour on the elliptical at the gym, with my stack of food magazines to leaf through. ;)
Aw, he is so kissable!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder! I will definitely try today :)
I can't wait to have a little kid to take pictures of. When I'm around children I am so happy, because they are so happy!
ReplyDeleteSimple pleasures....no, I have not taken the time to enjoy them lately, but thanks for the reminder, I will!! There are so many.
Oh he's adorable!

ReplyDeleteI do try and enjoy those simple times, but sometimes life gets in my way. Thanks for the reminder.
oh why YES ...as a matter of fact, I shamelessly ate a chocolate cupcake and a big glass of milk....and then happily went off to bed!
ReplyDeleteHorrible I know..but it was the best darned chocolate cupcake I have ever tasted!

ReplyDeleteAw, he's so precious. Yes, I often stop to enjoy the simple things in life. I think living here has forced me to do that more often.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie. I stopped what I was doing this afternoon, got on the floor and played legos with my son. It was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI know where you took that photo. heehee
