Summer Pleasures

I LOVE summer. And this year I feel especially lucky because I get to enjoy more time with my family. Here are some of the simple things that make summer so special to me:

Watermelon (the perfect summer fruit!)
Iced coffee (Yes, I enjoy this a bit too much...)
Mini ice cream sandwiches
Fun in the pool and at the beach
Exercising outdoors
Fairs
Many opportunities to wear cool sunglasses and hats
Lots of fresh veggies
It's "natural" to eat salads
Heirloom tomatoes

Question: What do you like most about summer? Yes, I am making the assumption that you like summer... :o)

  2. My favorite things about summer are early sunrises, being able to run outside without 3 layers of clothes. Life with little ones feels easier in the summer too, playing outside, going places, lazy summer days.... ahhhh I love this time of year.

    I actually love the heat and humidity but my favorite part is that it stays light for so long.

    I love the warm sun on my skin and now that the sun is actually out, it finally feels like summer here!
