Be well,
Andrea
Andrea, this is a fantastic list of posts to stay well at work. These days, I find I need to make time to get enough physical activity to ensure clarity of mind and wellness. I'm getting closer to that as the weather improves.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this incredible wealth of resources in your great posts... I love how you include laughing as a wellness componant! SO TRUE!! And exercise, of course - I'm looking forward to exercising outside, in the beautiful spring weather, when I leave work today...
ReplyDeleteLove that you're looking at wellness broadly - it is a broad thing and, to me, is defined differently to each individual.
ReplyDeleteToday i'm taking a break from walking during lunch. After 4.5 miles Sunday, 5 Monday and 6 yesterday, i'm going to chill during lunch and go for 4 after work! My legs are sore and need a break! Then tonight i'm going to book club - looking forward to a glass of wine with my girls!
I love your writings about living a balanced and healthy life. You seem to have so much wisdom and knowledge to offer. I'm glad to have your blog for such a constant inspiration!
ReplyDeleteToday I'm just trying to eat as many colorful fruits and vegetables as possible. The sun is trying to peek through the clouds so I'm planning on heading out for a long walk.
Enjoy your day!
I am going to ride my bike then take my kids to the beach for the day with friends - a perfect day.
ReplyDeleteMy stomach rumbles in ANY situation where being silent/professional is important. So awkward!
ReplyDeleteI laugh everyday...and am working on the rest. So far, I have eaten well, been to the gym and gotten some fresh air. :)
I ate my lunch outside to get some Vitamin D, and I am going for a run after work!
ReplyDeleteI left you an award on my blog :)

I made sure to lift weights in the gym today. It's so important for the future of my body and I tend to neglect doing it.
ReplyDeleteI'm surrounding myself with people I care about and that are positive influences!
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you have been writing these posts. I am actually exercising in the gym 4-5 days a week for 50-60 minutes each day and it is nice for my stress levels.
ReplyDeleteOoh good timing as I am on the hunt for my career at present :)
ReplyDeleteToday I'm living well by eating until I'm 80% full, doing yoga for the first time in WAY too long, and wrapping up some work that I'd been putting off. It makes me feel good.
Ah, blog Zen :) You're wonderful, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment yesterday, by the way :)
I did take a break at work today for once. I tried going to the library to catch up on blogs...but all the computers were taken. It was still nice to get out, though. I need to do it more! And I got in a 4 1/2 mile run and a healthy, DELICIOUS meal! And now I'm having "me time" -- first time in weeks. Feels great :)
I had a good laugh today. Thank you Ellen.:) Plus I ran my 4 miles and did Pilates today.
ReplyDeleteI think what we eat or what we don't eat can definitely affect our performance and mood in our jobs.
ReplyDeleteI ususally laugh everyday with my coworkers. It is nice that we can joke around at work.
Have a great day!
I totally need more breaks, nuff said, at 2am i am still commenting on blogs :)
ReplyDeleteI think I did all that!!! I called my BFF in Germany and laughed low, I went to a 45 min spinning class and sweat, I ate some random but yummy food and I took a long break since the presentation! :)
ReplyDeleteTo be well, today, (even though it's no longer WEdnesday....) I am doing a fitness assessment!! I am finding out if I AM well..I guess. They will weight me, do a body fat check, and then test my strength and endurance. I'm nervous!!
ReplyDeleteI'm on staycation so I'm having an entire week of mental "wellness". =)
ReplyDeleteAh laughing...I laugh every morning. My husband and I laugh every morning before we both head out to work. We're busy (as is everyone) and we make sure to always sit together and have breakfast - which always includes laughs. I have a good day of food planned and a workout, so it's a pretty healthy day!
ReplyDeletewellness is such a broad term and I am so thrilled to see you take advantage of its many meanings!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I'll be sure to check out some of your other wellness posts. I am in an office with four ladies who always make me laugh, so laughing comes easily at work. My other wellness efforts include lots of exercise this week. I did cycling in the am and zumba in the pm yesterday. This evening I'll be running.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all your articles! I went and read that Self article about doing what needs to be done for a writing career. It's very timely since I'm thinking about trying to freelance once Jason and I start a family. I've been doing a lot of research about the practicalities, but it was nice to read about the personal, emotional benefits of doing something you love.
ReplyDeleteJust getting caught up! I have to say, that sashimi on Monday looked so awesome! I don't know if I'll get any exercise today but I definitely laughed. My nephew is visiting. He is 4 and he makes me laugh every time I see him. :)
