The Battle for Straight Hair

I have a hairstyle that only looks good when my hair is straight. Unfortunately, my hair is not naturally straight but has a wave to it (people who only see me on work days, don’t usually know that…), and the wave looks quite messy… To achieve the straight look I like, I usually blow dry my hair using a round brush - a task I don’t particularly enjoy. Plus, even after blow drying my hair with a round brush, it often still doesn’t turn out the way I want it to.

Irresistible Me Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush Review*

I was therefore very happy when I was contacted by Irresistible Me and asked if I wanted to try out the Irresistible Me Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush as it sounded like something that would make my life easier.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been testing out the brush, and I have to say it has been working out great! I can let my hair dry naturally, which I prefer, and then style it with the brush. I also don’t have to worry when I go to bed at night right after washing and drying my hair as I can easily fix my hair the next morning with the brush.

I love that I can use the brush to fix a small area that “got out of hand” a bit after sleeping on it, etc.

In the last few weeks, I have been using the brush in the morning to straighten my hair. I like that the hair stays straight throughout the day.

Even at the end of the day the hair stays straight when I straighten it with the brush in the morning.

The Irresistible Me Ceramic Hair Straightening Brush has definitely made styling my hair much easier. I love that I don’t have to worry anymore about blow drying my hair right away. It’s also very convenient to be able to fix my hair quickly in the morning (or anytime).

Questions: Do you straighten your hair? If so, what do you use to straighten your hair?

    1. I love your curls, but it's nice to have options, right! :-) I love that it makes straightening my hair so much easier. I never liked using a flatiron, and this feels easier and less damaging to me...

    1. Oh no you don't! :-) It was really tough for me to get photos taken; either it was dark, or I didn't have a "photographer" available before I straightened my hair... (and the selfies didn't work out)... Okay, there were a few photos, but they were not "usable" because I looked awful... When I get a "good" photo of the front unstraightened, I promise to show you! :-)

  5. Oh WOW! I have naturally curly hair and I have never seen a product like this. I am amazed and wonder how it'd work for me! Your hair looks great, nice and sleek and STRAIGHT!

    1. Hi Carrie, it works really well for my wavy hair, and I feel comfortable using it (much more than a flat iron). I comb every section of my hair a couple of times. I imagine the wavier/curlier your hair is, the more often you'll have to comb each section. There is also a temperature control, and I use it on a "medium" setting. I'm sure the higher temperatures would be more powerful.

  7. So glad I saw this Andrea. My daughter was just asking me about a week ago whether or not I thought straightening brushes would work on her hair and I didn't have an answer for her. She has fine, curly hair that's fairly thick...do you think this would work for her?
BTW...your hair looks great...and I'm kinda diggin' it with the waves too. :)

    1. Hi Debbie, I'm impressed by the brush and that it straightens my hair, even when it has not been blow dried at all or even brushed while it's drying. I think the straightening is very similar to a flatiron (but flatirons are scary to me as I burned myself years ago, and I have never really used them after that...). I do use the brush in sections and do go over each section several times. I don't use it on the highest setting; my guess would be that it would straighten even better when it's hotter...

  10. From the hair extensions folks, huh? Love what I have seen of others wearing the extensions. This brush might be just the thing for both daughters at Christmas. One has super wavy and the other has downright curly. You have such a cute cut and I like it natural and wavy, too. Great review.

  11. This brush sounds amazing! I have a curling wand from the same brand that I love, so this brush is definitely worth a try. I have to straighten my hair everyday (unless I want to look like a poodle that just got electrocuted), and I hate the process!

  12. Looks like a great brush! :) I straighten my hair a lot now as it's easier to maintain it the next day with just dry shampoo, haha! I use hair straighteners.

  13. Andrea your hair looks fab! I really like that haircut, very chic! It is very nice to have that convenience to brush it like that and get it straight. I too have weird wavy hair. It wouldn't bother me so much if it was symmetrical wavy but mine is only wavy on one side. Lucky for me I don't have to go out all that much so I can just let it blow in the wind. Althought once in a while I borrow my girls' hair straightener.

  15. If I had your thick hair, I would be so pleased. No, I don't have to straightened it. That part is done by my hair, all on its own haha.
