Graphic Tee

I’ve been wanting to get a graphic tee for a long time, but somehow I had never come across the “perfect” one. When we were in Germany I saw a cute graphic tee in a little shop. I liked that it’s a shout out to my hometown (so, yes, this is the second “touristy item” I bought, the first being the bag). I also liked the colors - white, black & red, so I bought it.

I wore the tee for the first time back home on an outing to downtown San Jose and decided to style it with white shorts and my new Rebecca Minkoff Dog Clip Saddle bag, which I purchased during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale as an early birthday present to myself (actually, I used birthday money my parents had given me early…).

I love all of the fun street art that’s popping up all over downtown San Jose.

Here is a close up of the Rebecca Minkoff Dog Clip Saddle bag. I love this little bag. It has an adjustable strap and can be worn as a crossbody.

And buying this tee reminded me that I like graphic tees, so I’ve been looking online a bit. Here are some graphic tees that I wouldn’t mind adding to my closet:

Questions: Do you like graphic tees? Do you own any? If so, which one is your favorite one?

  2. Hah hah---you've been reading my mind lately!! The three of us just got graphic tees and are doing a series on them the end of the month!!
At first I thought they were a little childish---but luckily I've gotten over that!
I really like the design on yours---ours are just words, so maybe that's called something else?
And the white on white is very hip!!

  4. I absolutely love your graphic tee - so original and fun! I too love a graphic tee - but it takes awhile for the right one to catch my eye. I think when you put a statement on the front of your chest - you kinda need to own it! And, I think you need to like the fit of it.(yours is a win/win on both levels!) The combination of the two can make finding the right one tricky, but when you do - you know! Love the SJ Artwork, I didn't know that was starting to pop up down there; I'll have to make a field trip one of these days!
    Happy Weekend!

  13. What a cute tee! I actually don't think it screams touristy. I really like your all-white look too. I don't really have any graphic tees. I tend toward just solid, basic colors but I can now see how a graphic tee can spice up an outfit.

    1. A graphic tee is definitely fun, and I'm very glad I got this one! But neutral, basic colors are a lot more versatile. Also, as I wrote in my comment on your post, I doubt this tee will make it to 30 wears...

  14. Now that is a city shirt I would actually get! Too often they are just text with the name of the place, but I love the drawing so much more! Adorable!

    1. Thanks, Katie! Well, you know that I have serious street art envy because of all the fantastic walls you show on your blog! It seems there is nothing but painted walls in LA (I do realize that you are probably doing quite a bit of research and planning...).

  21. Andrea, this is an adorable graphic tee. I love the all white look with the pops of red. I am very particular about graphic tees myself. They really have to speak to me before I will make the purchase. I have a few that I really love! They are always so fun to style.

Thanks for linking up On the Edge of the Week! I hope to see you again next week. Have a wonderful weekend!

  25. You know that I love a great graphic tee, I love to wear them with trouser jeans and a casual jacket or a relaxed blazer. I can still be dressed more my age, but I can have fun with it and look younger at the same time!

I really love your tee, it looks great on you, I clicked through and checked out the bag-I can see why you got it for yourself (via your parents) for your birthday, I love it! And of the tees that you suggested I really like the rock and roll shirt! Very cool!
