Chunky Knit Scarf

I’ve been fighting a terrible cold. Unfortunately, I’m unable to sleep at night, which doesn’t help matters.

Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day, and I decided that I was going to try to go on a short walk. I made it for only about 1/2 a mile until I had to turn around, but it still felt good to get out for a little while. Nevertheless, I was very glad when I was back home in bed...

Monochromatic Outfit with Chunky Knit Scarf

I decided to wear a monochromatic outfit. I added a chunky knit scarf that I had recently “found” in our coat closet, shoved all the way in the back. Our coat closet is so small, I’m not sure how it was possible to “lose" it. I remember buying the scarf when the kid was little, and I’m very glad I found it again as it kept me warm, and I love the look of a chunky knit.

I always think it's good to get some fresh air when you're fighting a cold---as long as you don't overdo it!!
I've just recently raided the coat closet for some fun accessories. I think I used to only wear some of these with coats--but how silly!!

    1. Thanks, Jodie! I'm trying to get some energy to get out of the house for just a few minutes today. I'm not getting any better unfortunately...

And, yes, I used to "designate" certain accessories to certain clothes. Then I realized that mixing and matching is a lot more fun...

    1. Thanks, Nancy! And that's an interesting question! One excuse could be that it rarely gets cold enough to really need to wear the scarf.... Another explanation would be that I own a lot of scarves... ;-)

  24. Andrea, I love a good chunky scarf every now and then. In fact, I often wear them around the house as my neck tends to get a chill quite often. I love this look. That poncho is amazing, too. I hope you are feeling better by now. Thanks for linking up with me On the Edge.

  25. Andrea, I sure hope that you are feeling better, I hate to be under the weather. But I would never have thought that by looking at these images, you look great.

That outfit is so me! I love monochromatic outfits, with a splash of color in the shoes or a piece of jewelry or a scarf. I love the stripes with the plaid and the books. It looks great.

And that scarf! Love it. You need to come look in my closet and see what I've "lost" LOL Checking out the scarves at the end of your post the chunky one from boohoo is only $14! A bargain!

    1. Thanks, Nikki! I'm finally a lot better, but it was tough for over two weeks... Definitely a potent bug...

Some of the scarves are great bargains. I think one of the reasons I love scarves and statement necklaces so much is that you can transform an outfit for not very much money...
