Question: What was the last memorable dish you ate? I really enjoyed the mushroom dumplings and the sea bass. The dumplings had a delicate mushroom flavor and were seasoned perfectly. And the sea bass was light and flaky and in hubby’s words “the least fishy fish I have ever tasted.”
Be well,
Andrea
yay for date night! i've been eating a lot of great food lately, but the one meal that's been sticking in my mind is a croque madame i had...
ReplyDeleteYay for date night! That was interesting and delicious looking food! What was that first dish? Looked cool!
ReplyDeleteLast memorable dish was really a dessert - chocolate raspberry brownie gelato! If I think about it really hard, I can almost taste it... ;)
what a fun date night! :)
ReplyDeletethe homemade, fresh out of the oven sourdough bread I had this weekend was pretty memorable.
Beautiful picture. First dish that comes to mind is from Napa Rose restaurant in Anaheim. I can't remember what they called it exactly but it was a pot roast/brisket with a blackberry sauce over the top of a risotto. YUMMY! That restaurant was featured by Samantha Brown on the Travel Channel. That's why we chose it.
ReplyDeleteOh my: I can't remember what that was :)
ReplyDeleteThe first one looks a bit weird, don't think I would like that, especially if it's the fish which I don't like very much.
You both look very happy at the last pic.
I love date nights! We can get out a lot more now because all of our children are teens. We are in Florida now with NO children for a whole week!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I don't know what the last memorable meal I ate was. I'm hoping tomorrow night's meal will be memorable since it is our 20th annivesary!!
So glad that you and hubby got to go out together. It's rare that we get a real date night. Our dates are usually running to Target - sad.

Love that picture of you and your hubby.
ReplyDeleteWe have been eating a ton of sea bass lately b/c a fellow homeschooling family are fishermen and we bought a bunch from them a few weeks ago. It freezes really well and still doesn't taste fishy.
Mm, those dumplings do look good. I just had some great coconut red thai curry over rice and veggies. I love ethnic cuisines!

Ah, that first picture looked like a jelly fish at first! ha ha ha! I thought, hm, a japanese delicacy I haven't tried yet!
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable meal: oh that happens EVERY night... like tonight for instance: salmon belly & roasted salmon skin, wrapped in nori along with spaghetti squash, portobello mushrooms & roasted green beans & fennel! Yummy... I cannot wait! :)
Those dumplings look out of this world. So, you're not going to say where you ate them, so your dumpling-loving blog readers can try some, too? Pretty please? With soy sauce on it? ;)

ReplyDeleteIronically the most memorable dish I have had lately would be the sea bass I made for my demo at work! It must be a great time for sea bass! The meal was so fantastic, I couldn't stop eating it, it just melted in my mouth.
Date nights are so much fun and what a wonderful array of food you enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteMy last memorable dish was plantains with black beans and sour cream. It was to die for. I need a low fat method for cooking them as they were fried.
