Sentence a Day: May 2017

May was another very busy month, and I felt a bit overwhelmed. I guess my sentences make this quite obvious as I wrote a lot about grading and being busy... There also aren't as many photos as usual. In June I'll try to document more of the positive highlights of each day!

I'm very glad that I started joining Sarah and Leslie in writing one sentence a day in January. You can read my January sentences here, my February sentences here, my March sentences here, and my April sentences here.

Question: What were your highlights in May? Are you going to join us this month and write one sentence a day? It’s lots of fun to look back at the month; I promise.

Be well,

  1. Sounds like you could use a bit of a vacation! A little relaxing! Hop thet June will be better for you.

    1. Yes, I'm ready for a vacation! But it won't happen until July...

  2. Hope your son had fun at summer camp! I just LOVE that new cut on you! It really looks good on you! I haven't had hair that short in years, but I'm always tempted for the easy factor!

    1. Thanks, Carrie!

I've had the same haircut for years, so I really needed a change...

  3. What a month sweet lady! I ADORE your haircut!

  4. That Ahi Tuna Salad looks delicious!! Boo for twisted ankles but YAY for summer camp!!

    1. The salad was really good! Thanks for stopping by!

  5. OH man, both of your boys are gone and instead of relaxing and pampering yourself you have to grade papers, boo! Too much paper grading. At least you did get some relaxtion in. Loving the haircut!

    1. Yes, there was definitely to much paper grading in May... And there will be a lot in June, too. But then I'm off in July and August, so I can't really complain...

  6. Your haircut is darling. Youthful and fun! Jodie went shorter, too. And PC wants me to grow mine out. Not sure if he gets a vote on MY hair.
I felt a lot like you in May. School, school, stress, school. stress. Are you working this summer or do you take summers off? I finish on Wednesday and CANNOT WAIT!
Hope you and the gang can rest some this weekend and get to feeling better.

    1. Thanks, Leslie!

I'll finish the spring quarter at the end of June, and then I'll be off in July and August! I can't wait!!!

  7. Some tough days in there along with lovely meals and that Coach bag. Here's to a great June!

  8. I love your new bag! Hopping over from the link up to say HI! I'm SO doing this next month!

    1. Writing one sentence a day has been such a great experience for me. It reminds me of all the fun we've had. And yesterday when I reread all the sentences, it reminded me to focus a bit more on the positive... :-)

  9. Anonymous6/01/2017

I hope life slows down for you a bit in June...

    1. June will be another crazy month, but then I'll be off in July & August, so I can't really complain... :-)

  10. Man---you work so hard Andrea!! I think you need a vacation! Although that new purse is almost as good as vacation!!
And how funny we both got our hair cut short!! Great minds think alike, right?

    1. Yes, the new purse is great! :-) And I'm off in July and August, so I really shouldn't complain too much... I love your haircut!

  11. Hope you feel better soon, Andrea. Take frequent small breaks if you can. Have a great June!

  12. It feels so good getting a new hairstyle doesn't it? You lead such a busy life Andrea and I felt exhausted just reading your post. I hope you are feeling better. I look forward to reading your June post.
Sue from Sizzling Towards 60 & Beyond

    1. Yes, sometimes a change is very necessary... :-) One more month of teaching, and then I'm off in July & August. It makes up for it...

Did you add your post to the link up? I didn't see it, but I'm heading to your blog now to read your sentences...

  13. I keep meaning to do this, and then forget every month. I'm making a note to myself right now to start! Hope you're feeling better!

    1. Yes! Join us! You won't regret it! It's so great to look back! And this month I actually realized that I'll have to pay more attention to all the beauty and positive things in my life...

  14. Oh shame Andrea, what topsy turvy month you've had. I hope all recover from your colds quickly and that the little one's ankle feels better
