Sentence a Day: February 2017

Today I’m once again joining Sarah from Foxy’s Domestic Side and Leslie from Once Upon a Time Happily Ever After as we share the sentences we wrote in February. This is my second month writing one sentence a day; you can read my January sentences here.

February 1, 2017
Andy and I went to the gym after work; we were so tired afterwards that we both fell asleep on the couch before 8 p.m., but we did catch the sunset first.

More rain is coming our way for the next week or so, and I’m glad that we took advantage of the sunshine last weekend.

We made it to Costco right before it closed; I’m glad we won’t have to fight the crowds on Super Bowl weekend.

Our gym workouts still leave us really tired; will we ever get used to them again without getting so tired?

I didn’t watch the Super Bowl but went to a relaxing yoga class instead - bliss.

We had a low-key weekend, but I’m still not as prepared for the week as I’d like to be.

The day started with a dead battery, which threw a wrinkle in things, but the day was still productive.

Lots of rain and grey days make me appreciate the sunshine we usually get a lot more.

I’ve been fitting in a gym workout every day, and I love and realize how much I missed the gym when we didn’t have a membership.

The kid is off next week, and I love that he’ll get to have fun and be a kid.

After eliminating caffeine completely during the cleanse, I now have one cup a week, and I enjoy every drop.

We spent the day getting ready for the week; why does the weekend always have to go by so quickly?

I had a work meeting in the morning and got to spend the rest of the day with the kid.

I had to teach a night class, so no romantic dinner for us, which is okay with me as I’m not the biggest fan of Valentine’s Day.

We took the day off and went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium with the kid and one of his friends.

We ran lots of errands today.

It rained all day and other than going to the gym, I didn’t leave the house, which always makes me feel a bit strange.

We went to a beer festival, and it was insanely cold, but the kid and I hung in there.

I fell off the stepper at the gym today during an intense 30-minute interval workout; I shouldn’t have checked what Andy was doing but focused on myself...

We got our taxes done; never fun, but I’m glad it’s done.

February 21, 2017
I loved spending lots of time with the kid last week, but I definitely didn’t get all my work done; it’s time to catch up this week.

I wore red and pink today and loved it; it’s interesting that I wouldn’t have liked that combo at all a few years ago.
