Last year, I put a lot of time and effort into planning our trip to Germany in December. Since we live in a warm climate and don't go skiing anymore, I also had to buy several pieces of clothing for everyone, including thermal underwear to make our "fake winter clothes" work in a much colder climate.
This year, I'm going to visit my parents by myself for a week, and the trip somewhat snuck up on me. Luckily, I documented what I took last year on Instagram, and since everything worked very well together, I'm pretty much copying everything exactly.
The only items I bought new this year are a pink scarf, a hat and gloves. I really like pale pinks and grey together, and since my winter jacket is grey, I thought it would be perfect. I also snagged them on major sale and used an awards certificate, so all three items came to less than $50. I love the weight and warmth of the scarf; it's definitely going to keep we warm.
