A "Real" Date and Foodbuzz Festival Day One

Yesterday, hubby and I got to go on a date without the toddler for the first time in a long time (other than short dinner dates). Thank you Uncle Roy for babysitting! Aren’t you glad you moved back to the Bay Area? Winking smile Not only did we ask my brother-in-law to babysit, we also asked him to take a pre-date picture of us; I know, we are funny…

We left in the early afternoon and drove to San Francisco. Like real tourists, we took a picture on the top of the parking garage…

Then we picked up our passes and gift bags at the Foodbuzz Festival Registration.

After that, we just played “tourists” for a few hours. It was fun (but, honestly, I was also a bit worried about the toddler, who didn’t miss us at all it turns out. In fact, when he woke up this morning he said, “Is Uncle Roy here?”).

I got to meet only a few bloggers, but I hope to meet more today (and take pictures!). Here are a few pictures from yesterday:

I finally got to meet Lynn Chen. Hubby and I are huge fans and loved going to the screening of White on Rice and meeting her co-star and the director of the film last year. Lynn is so sweet and beautiful.

I also met Snack Girl, and we had fun chatting a bit at the very beginning of the festival.

I also briefly chatted with Holly, The Healthy Everythingterian. I have been following Holly’s blog for a long time, and it was so nice to briefly meet her in person.

And here is some of the food:

I look forward to more fun today and hope to meet more bloggers.

Question: What are you up to this weekend?

Be Well,
Andrea
