  4. Wasn't that Labor Day weekend heat wave crazy??? We were RV'ing in Pescadero and even though we were right next to the ocean it was hot as blazes!

Still having Octoberfest blouse envy - such a great look on you!

And I am really intrigued by your barre workouts. Do you have a background in ballet, or is this something new for you? Inquiring minds want to know!

    1. Yes, the heat wave was crazy!!!

As to the barre workouts, I don't have a background in ballet. I started doing barre workouts seven years ago. At the time, I often got low back pain, and regular barre workouts really help keep the low back pain away. They are great, challenging workouts. I had never taken that many classes in a row (may have been a bit too many...), but since the workouts are so challenging you really should take at least two or three a week, otherwise classes are pure torture... ;-)

    1. Barre classes are great! We have so many different studios around here that I think many of them are starting to hurt for clients because there is so much competition...

  9. Missed you while I was in Germany but oh, Andrea, thought of you so often. What a lovely, lovely country! Our first day was my favorite...in Berchtesgaden. The cows. The countryside. The mountains and sunshine and quaint little cottages.

I am so super duper impressed with your barre workouts. You keep going back even when you are more sore (sorer?) than ever before. Yay, you. And to be able to sneak in a class at lunch. That is wonderful. Then when you get home, you don't have that pressure/need to exercise. I used to run on my lunch break and then we went from getting an hour to 30 minutes. No time.

How many classes are you teaching this semester? I am already missing not being in the library but simultaneously happy to be home. Finally catching up on my ironing. And BLOG reading! And the Alpen-sized mountain of laundry from our trip.

Your flooring turned out beautifully but what a hassle to try to get anything done, huh? We have begun the fight with our pool people again. They have this month to get things fixed before I blow a gasket. Also planning to have the exterior of the house painted which will no doubt bring added stress.

Hugs to you, my beautiful friend.
