Sentence a Day: June 2017

June was another busy month as my quarter wasn't over until the 30th. But I made a real effort to focus on the positive despite still being quite sick and overwhelmed at times. There was certainly something good in every day, and we did quite a few fun things, which I'm very thankful for.

I first joined Sarah and Leslie in writing one sentence a day in January, and this is my sixth sentence-a-day post. You can read my January sentences here, my February sentences here, my March sentences here, my April sentences here, and my May sentences here.

Be well,
Andrea

  7. This sentence a day looks a lot of fun and so many bloggers participating in it! Your kid got out a month after mine! We are already starting to think about back to school, which I hate. Beach and pool days sound so relaxing!

    1. You should join us in writing a sentence a day, Carrie! I've been doing it now for six months and loved looking back at the first half of 2017!

Yes, the kid got out very late. And since my college is on the quarter system, I got out even later... It does feel by the time we are done, others are already getting ready to get back to school... Since the kid is switching schools, he'll have a short break...

  10. Hi Andrea! So nice to meet a fellow educator! Do you teach at a university? This is Terri from Second Wind Leisure Perspectives (google shows me as Terri M). Love your June sentences and all of your leisure activities. Sorry to read about your illness, hope you have shaken it off! I also read on your about me page that you are German by birth. My hubby was born to German parents in Chile, so he loves his German heritage :) I liked your example of the sentence a day..for July I need to take more photos of me doing stuff :)

  11. Sweet friend, you really were sick for far too long. Hope you are beginning to feel back to normal.

Your kids are such a great combination of the two of you. Handsome lads. Well done, mom!

What plant is sitting on your patio table? Rosemary? Just shared your plants to keep bugs away video. I might be able to keep smaller, potted versions of some of the plants alive. But have planted rosemary, lavender, sage, marigolds and all dead. Waaa!

The back-lit photo from the aquarium is stunning. I am going to try very hard to take pics with my good camera this summer. As soon as I can figure out how to turn it on.

Thank you so much for joining us these past six months. I truly feel a friendship and connection to you, Andrea. XO
