New Hair, New Attitude

This post is a sponsored post. As always, all opinions are my own.

For many, many years I had the same haircut.

Finally, a few haircuts ago, I told my hairdresser that I would like to try something new. Her response was: "I've been waiting for this!" After some discussions, we decided to cut shorter layers and grow out my bangs. The cut is softer and less structured. The new haircut can also be changed by the way I style it, something that wasn't really possible with the old cut. Cutting my hair made me aware of how a haircut can change one's attitude. My new hair feels more fun, easy going and free, and that affects how I feel.

Since I'm now in a playful mood when it comes to my hair, I was intrigued when Divatress contacted me about their hair pieces. I've never really thought about playing with hair pieces in the past; with my structured haircut, it just never occurred to me. But now that my hair has layers, I am thinking of experimenting a bit more. For instance, I think it would be fun to change my look for a special occasion or just because.

So when Divatress contacted me and invited me to explore their website, I decided to check out some of their human hair lace front wigs. And they have many great, affordable options that allow you to totally change your look or try out a new hairstyle for a night out or a few days. I love the idea of having long hair for a night. And how great is it to be able to "test drive" a short hair style before committing to cutting your hair?

Questions: When was the last time you changed your hairstyle? Have you ever tried a hair piece? If so, what was your experience?

Be well,
Andrea

  1. Such a cool haircut! I wish I could experiment like that. My hairstyle has been more or less the same forever. Curly hair isn't very co-operative... basically, it leaves me with ' haphazardly-styled wavy', 'messy', and 'really messy and big', depending on what mood my hair happens to be in.

  4. I love your new haircut!

I have had the same haircut for 10+ years, and I think it's time for a change. I love the idea of trying out a new haircut with a hair piece. Divatress seems to have very affordable options.

  10. The structured layers are wonderfully flattering, kudos to your stylist for her talent, and you for your willingness to play along! And yes, without exception I go on a bit of a clothing store every time I change up my hairstyle. Clothes to match the new attitude!

  11. I've had the same hair style, in some variation, for years. I'd love to go shorter. Your new cut is so beautiful and flattering on you!

  12. I am just in love with your new hair cut! It is definitely softer and I always prefer looks without bangs where it shows more of someones face. One of these days maybe I'll go shorter!

  14. This is so much softer Andrea! More up to date and it looks fabulous. I always had my hair cropped really short for years, and when I decided to grow it I wore a wig for six months! Best thing I ever did. xx

  18. I thought I had commented on this post but I guess not. I adore the new cut. I think it is fun and sassy and just so smart. I cut my hair much shorter last fall, I think, or maybe it was almost two years ago? But my family wants me to grow it out. They just don't seem to understand that my hair isn't as full as it once was and looks a little stringy longer. But going to give it a go.
