Moto Jacket with an Edge

A faux leather moto jacket has been on my wishlist for a while. I like the edginess it adds to any wardrobe and the versatility of it.

Adding Some Edginess with A Moto Jacket

I was excited when I was offered to select a piece of clothing from Metrostyle.* Metrostyle has been offering trendy, quality, yet affordable clothes for ten years and offers tall, petite and plus sizes all pictured together. I looked through their online catalog and focused especially on outerwear; there were many jackets and other pieces I would have loved to add to my wardrobe. One of them was a black moto jacket* and that’s what I ended up picking.

I was excited when the jacket arrived and loved how soft it felt. I decided to style it with faux leather leggings and black booties for an edgy look - perfect for going out or a special occasion.

The cut and details of the moto jacket are beautiful, and it looks and feels much more expensive than it is. It’s a great piece to update my wardrobe.

The moto jacket looks great with a scarf, and I can’t wait to wear it with the many scarves in my collection. I sized up a bit in the jacket so that I’m able to wear sweaters under it. Even though my jacket is roomy, it has a great shape because of the strategically placed seams, zippers, and studs.

I also wore the moto jacket with my printed jeans, a black blouse, a grey sweater, and a couple different scarves. I think the jacket looks great with the casual outfit, and it adds just the right amount of interest to the outfit.

  1. What a fabulous jacket and outfit! You know I am a sucker for black! But the jacket is a very nice design, the back is also fabulous! Are the zippers gold colored? Most its silver and I like gold colored more. And that printed jeans is a fantastic pants, it looks so good on you!

    1. Thanks, Nancy! I'm really happy with the jacket! :-)

Yes, the zippers are gold. It's funny because I have always been a "silver person," but I have recently realized that I actually often prefer gold. I think it's great that it's okay (or sometimes even preferred) these days to mix your metals as it allowed me to add some gold pieces to my collection. The jacket looks indeed great with the gold zippers!

  2. I'm so happy you finally got a moto jacket...and free too! Lucky you! I like that it is tapered in the waist. Yes, I have a moto jacket. I bought one several years ago for $15.00 at Forever 21 and am still wearing it. My daughter got one too at the same time and said to me the other day "For a cheap jacket, it is still in perfect condition and I wear it all the time". I also bought a winter moto jacket last year on clearance at JCP for $6.00. It is much thicker and has a fur collar. I can't wait to wear it!

  14. What self respecting fashionsta doesn't have a Moto jacket Andrea? This is a fab cut and style and I particularly like the peplum type shape which is both flattering and unusual. You made a great choice here and I'm sure you'll get lots of wear out of it. I'd like to see you wear it with a skirt too - I'm sure it lends itself to that as well. Great post!
    Have a lovely week x

  23. I have a huge quantity of clothes in my closet but don't think I own a motor jacket!
    ( why not ??? )
Well, to tell the truth, it wouldn't probably be warm enough for the temperatures we have in winter, but I could wear it in mid seasons ...

Yours looks modern but with a cute, feminine detail on the back! It suits you!
