Embroidered Jeans

A few months ago Zara had some embroidered jeans that sold out very, very quickly. I was quite disappointed that I wasn’t able to get my hands on a pair. When I found out that they had another pair of embroidered jeans, I ordered it right away. I haven't regretted it.

Here is a closeup of the embroidery/embroidered patches.

The jeans have an unfinished hem which is a first for me, but I like it. I have already worn the jeans numerous times with different shoes and tops.

Another option is to buy embroidered patches and sew them onto denim yourself. To be honest, I'm not that excited about sewing patches onto denim, but I found some really cute patches that can be ironed on (but sewing them on in addition to ironing them on is still recommended; I may just see how it goes…). I think several of them would look great on my denim jacket. I have been wanting to add a few patches to my denim jacket for a long time, but I only have one denim jacket and would like to find another one first as I like having a neutral/plain one because I wear my denim jacket so often.
Questions: Do you own any embroidered jeans? Or any other embroidered items of clothing? Have you ever considered adding embroidered patches to clothing?

Be well,
Andrea

They had a pair of white embroidered shorts in store the other day and I didn't buy them in the end but can't stop thinking of them - the embroidery is such a ncie feature!

    Hope you're having a wonderful weekend :)

  7. I love these jeans on your Andrea and the embroidered trend is so big right now so I'm not surprised these were sold out so fast at Zara. The designs are perfect and I am totally with you about not being a big fan about sewing them on myself. :)

    You look great!

  11. These pants look so good on you, and the fibrant color of the blouse is beautiful. I don't think I own anything embroidered. And I am certainly not the person to sew it on a jacket or whatever myself.I am not tyhet patience.

And, yes, sewing patches onto denim can be quite tricky, I think. I hope ironing the patches on the denim jacket will work!

  15. I love these jeans on you! I looked at those too, and actually bought rose patches for my jean jacket, just havent been brave enough yet. They are so pretty with the flowers and bird, and love the raw edge with the booties.

  17. Oh!! Stop tempting me, Andrea!!!

On the blog today, I'm tackling something literally "borrowed from the boys", i.e., an item of clothing I took from my husband's wardrobe. Come on over and see how I (and four other women of all ages) styled pieces we, ahem, borrowed from the men in our lives.

  25. When I was younger I had some jeans with embroidery, I loved them. Wore them til they fell apart. I have not seen them in the stores for many years. These jeans are really cool, they would work with many outfits. The unfinished hem looks great with the boots, very stylish! I'm going to have to look for some jeans that I can try on, I am a huge fan of trouser jeans or flared legs, I'm going to keep my eyes pealed. Really like the fun look.

    1. I think embroidery is supposed to continue to be popular next year, so my guess is that we'll see it quite a bit in stores in spring next year... And then my jeans will really be on trend! :-)
