Trina Turk Montezuma Pants - My Loud Pants

My everyday style is casual, classic, and often includes neutrals. However, once in a while, I like to acquire a true standout piece. When I attended the blogger meet-up at Trina Turk in Burlingame in March, I not only bought the Trina Turk Accomplice Top but also some “loud” pants.

I had done some research before going and knew I very much liked the wide legged pants that are part of the current swim line. My favorites are the Trina Turk Moroccan Medallion Roll Top pants, the Trina Turk Shangri La pants, and the Trina Turk Montezuma pants.

I liked them all but ended up choosing the Trina Turk Montezuma pants because they were long enough (unfortunately, the others were just a bit too short). I’m glad I picked them though as the turquoise in the pants matches one of my bathing suits perfect. And the more I look at the colorful print, the more I like it! I took the pants with me on our trip to the California Central Coast. But, unfortunately, it was just a bit too cold to hang out at the pool.

While I originally had only intended to wear the pants around the pool and on vacation, I decided to give them a try in everyday life during a casual weekend outing as I realized that they are really very much like the pajama-style pants that are currently popular. The pants are definitely “loud,” and I feel a bit out of my element, but I like them and they make me feel alive.

  3. I love your pants, Andrea! When I was younger, I wore loud, wild colors and prints. I still dress stylish, but a bit toned now now.

  7. Oh, wow! I am so loving these pants. The colors and abstract pattern are amazing. I wore a pair of bright palazzo pants for the first time this week and could not get over how comfy they were. I paired mine with a bright tee, tassel necklace and sandals.

  12. Are you kidding me? They look great on you and are perfect for the warm months. I gather that you must be taller than tall me ( 5'2") and so you have no problem pulling this look off. I would be swimming in them. Not that I care but I can't wear them outside. I don't own any loud pants but I used to have a loud shirt long ago. Oh how I loved that shirt. Unfortunately I wore it out.

    1. Yes, I'm almost 5'11" and some of the pants in the swim line were actually too short for me... Isn't it sad when we have to let go of a favorite item because it's past its prime...

  14. I do own one pair of loud pants - most of the time I wear them with a one plain color top as I feel that if the top is too fuzzy busy it will not work. However I have to admit I'd like to wear them with a patterned top, see if I can pull that off !
Great trousers, I think you wore them well.

  15. Andrea I love loud anything, as I'm sure you know! These pants are to die for and I think you should wear them all summer long. You look utterly fab in them, particularly in that shot with you and the Toy Story posterx

  16. Your pants are a colour aficionado's dream, Andrea. The print and the palette, so bold and graphic. Unapologetic and that's how things ought to be. I doubt I'd ever wear something like that myself because I'm almost an entire foot shorter than you but I certainly wouldn't turn down the opportunity should a capri version makes itself known :)

p/s I really appreciate that you link up with me each time, Andrea, so cool of you xoxo

  19. Those palazzo pants look great on you - the white tops are just perfect to let the pants shine! :) Glad you could come up with another way to wear them.

I think my pink leopard print jeans are the 'loudest' pants I own - I need more nice printed pants!

  20. Andrea, these pants are fabulous and you wear them so well! I love loud pants! I often dislike the way prints look near my face, so when I'm in the mood for a bold print, I usually choose pants. Today, for Mother's Day, I am wearing coral paisley pants...they are bold, they are bright, and they are definitely loud. And I feel great in them. Keep rocking your loud pants because they are fantastic!
