Desigual Dress Love

A Dress with a Bold Pattern

I love Desigual. Their fun prints add just the little something extra to my wardrobe that it is sometimes missing. I don’t own a lot of Desigual - two bags (last seen here and here in the last photo) and a dress, but I always feel good when I’m wearing one of them. They are fun and make me smile. All my Desigual pieces are from outlet stores, and I foresee myself visiting there again sometime this year...

My Desigual dress is about five years old. But I still love wearing it, and I wore it to the blogger meetup at Trina Turk in Burlingame.  It’s a bit too short on its own, but I really like it with leggings underneath. It feels very me: comfortable and interesting.

Simple Accessories to Go with A Bold Dress

The dress has such a bold print that I kept my accessories simple: a red necklace, a jean jacket, and a small black bag. I like how the outfit turned out. I had first contemplated not wearing a necklace, but I think I needed a little something near my neck.

I thought about when I had worn the dress last, and it actually had been a while - more specifically November 2014, when we took our holiday card photo.

Desigual dresses I currently love: one, two, three, four, five, six

  1. I have never heard of that term before. You learn something new everyday! No, I don't own anything like this. I love it with the jean jacket. I also wear leggings under dresses a lot...they just make dresses too short nowadays!

    1. Desigual is a Spanish clothing brand, but they now have a few stores in the US, one of them in San Francisco. Macy's carries it too, I think. I bet now that you have seen it, you'll start seeing it places... The prints are so bold, it's hard not to notice. :-)

I'm tall, so many dresses are too short for me. Luckily, I like leggings under dresses, and I think it's a good solution.

  2. Love it! That dress is really, really cool and pretty. I like how you paired it with the denim jacket. Naturally, the cutest things you find on other blogs are never available in the stores. Bummer! But you look super cute, Andrea! (Even if you were just teasing the rest of us with that beautiful dress.)

    1. Yes, it is a bummer when something you like isn't available! Sorry, Regina! Desigual has pretty similar, bold, colorful designs every season however... So while you won't be able to find my dress, you may be able to find something similar... :-) Some of the dresses I linked have similar prints and all are bold!

  4. That's a really cool dress, and I think you accessorized just right, looking good! I have one Desigual tee shirt that's now too snug, but I wear it anyway : > Thanks for linking, xo
