My scarf has been sold out for a while now, but I just browsed the Nordstrom site, and they have many great, affordable BP scarves… I wonder if there is such a thing as owning too many scarves? I particularly like this, this, and this.
I wore the scarf with the drapey mixed media tunic from Loft. I love how comfortable the tunic is. It runs big, and the online reviews suggested sizing down, which I did. I’m very happy with the tunic.
I also wore my super skinny jeans by Yummie by Heather Thompson. I am not a big fan of shape wear and don’t own other Yummie clothing or shape wear, and I probably would have never looked at the brand hadn't a friend of mine repeatedly mentioned how much she loved hers. I therefore decided to give them a try when they were on major sale. They are very soft and have a higher rise, which I love.

Gorgeous scarf!!

Thanks, Jaymie! I love wearing it; it feels so "me."
DeleteI think one cannot have too many scarves (they're small!) : > You look lovely and I can see why you like this scarf so well. xox

Yes! One of my reason for collecting scarves is that they are small! Thanks for the reminder! :-)
DeleteGreat colours and print on that scarf. I love a higher rise too. The jeans is looking very good on you! Thanks you so much for linkin up!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy! Now that I've added some higher rise jeans back into my closet, I realize how much I dislike low rise jeans...
DeleteThat is a great scarf! I love scarves, and I own way too many to count.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy! Well, you really can't have too many scarves, right? ;-)
DeleteOk, first off..Yummie jeans. I've never heard of them. I do own Yummie shape wear which I love. Those jeans look fantastic on you, great buy! I love that BP scarf on you! BP has amazing scarves and honestly, I get sick of my scarves after a year - so best to buy them at a great price. Love the outfit and colors on you!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

I hadn't heard of Yummie jeans either... And, yes, BP has great, affordable scarves.
DeleteYour big (and beautiful) scarf attract s all the attention and really makes the outfit!
ReplyDeleteI have many scarves but to be honest I haven't been wearing them anymore recently. Probably I should learn to style them in a new way...
Thanks, Dan!
DeleteHa, I almost purchased that same scarf. I absolutely adore it, now I wish I had! Love how you styled it. I, too, replace my necklaces for scarves during the winter months. I also use scarves as my go-to accessories for traveling, they take up very little suitcase space and can totally transform an outfit from day-to-day. So to answer your questions; I absolutely love scarves, I purchased my latest last week from banana (on sale) and No, you can Never have too many.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny that you almost purchased the same scarf! We do have similar taste! :-)
DeleteYou are right, they are great for traveling, and a big scarf is a must for me on airplanes...
Banana had some great scarves on sale; I had to work really hard to control myself... :-)
Andrea, I absolutely adore scarves! I probably cannot even tell you how many I have, LOL! I really like this one with the Olive colors in it. It looks like it would go with so much and you wear it so well!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Andrea! When I saw this scarf, I knew I had to have it... :-)
DeleteI love this scarf and feel like it has just the right amount of patterns and colors! Warning - you may soon be hooked on ordering from Nordstrom. The free and fast shipping both ways is so convenient.
ReplyDeleteI only started wearing scarves after I moved away from Southern California 5 years ago but now I'm hooked on them. I haven't bought a new one yet this winter but am thinking I probably should. I find myself gravitating toward my pashmina scarves since they can also double as a wrap and have pretty patterns.
Yes, ordering from Nordstrom is tempting... Maybe it was better when I didn't know about it...
DeleteA pashmina scarf is great! Love double duty clothing! :-)
I love scarves and this one is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam!
DeleteOh the pattern and colours in this scarf are so lovely! Those camel boots are great pieces too!
ReplyDeletehttps://forsevenseasons.wordpress.com
Thanks, Alecz! I had been looking for black boots when I found the boots last year; I almost didn't buy them but am very glad I did!
DeleteWhat a beautiful scarf!!! I wonder if my blanket scarf could be worn that way. I'm already mentally planning the outfit...
ReplyDeleteI saw your post in the Visible Monday linkup. Here's my Visible Monday post...

Thanks, Anna Jeanine! I'm off checking out your post! :-)
DeleteI love scares too Andrea. Although I don't wear them nearly enough. I have way too many of them as well. I need to get rid of some but then I'm always like, Oh, you never know!
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming over and linking up to the Kremb de la Kremb Style Stories Link Up.
Love, Ann
Yes, you never know, right?!! Most of my scarves are actually quite old, but I still wear them quite often.
DeleteI love scarfs...they add such a nice touch and charm, and warmth!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Andrea...great pictures!
Thanks, Juliana!
DeleteHope you are having a great week!
You are right, one can't have too many scarves! I have quite a collection myself but still, now and then I come up with an outfit that requires a scarf and then I see that I don't have no a suitable piece!
ReplyDeleteScarves can make such a difference in an outfit. The other day I had to choose a necklace over a scarf since none of my scarves worked. I guess that's proof that I need more... :-)
DeleteLove the colors in this scarf. And yes, scarves are the new accessory statement. But, for us ladies in the south, they will never replace the necklace.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Elizabeth! And, yes, there is definitely something very special about a necklace...
DeleteScarves are my favorite accessory! 1 pair of jeans + 2 pair of shoes + 3 tops + 4 scarves = unlimited # of outfits! :) And I'm going to have to check out those jeans. Always on the hunt for skinny jeans that are actually skinny without being TOO skinny... :)
ReplyDeleteSo true, Wendy!
DeleteYummie also has skinny jeans; mine are the super skinny ones. I have read reviews that the skinny ones aren't really skinny though...
Great look, Andrea! That scarf is great! I love it and scarves are such a good way to wear prints! Thanks for sharing your style with the Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pam! And you are right, I add most prints in the form of scarves. I hadn't thought of that!
DeleteAs you know I love scarves too and wear them all the time. This is a great one, love the print. Looks fab with your outfit and I love your boots :)

Thanks, Nora! You own & sell great scarves!
DeleteSuch a classy look Andrea, I like statement scarfs and I actually have quite a few, except here in LA it rarely gets cold enough for me to bring them out. I'd love for you to stop by my weekly Weekend Wear Friday linkup and share your looks.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer! And thanks for supporting my scarf obsession! :-)
DeleteOh, this post made me smile, Andrea! I went a little crazy in the scarf-buying department this season and have yet to put a dent in my stash :) Forgot about the fact that I spend a lot of the colder months in South Florida.
ReplyDeleteLove your scarf and the way you've styled it! It's a great versatile piece and looks so chic with your jeans and boots!
Have a lovely weekend!

Thanks, Mary!
DeleteI love all your photos from Florida! Sounds perfect to get away to a warmer climate for part of the colder months! Yet, you still have reason to have lovely coats and warm clothes... :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!
I always seem to be adding another scarf to my collection! Your scarf is so pretty! Love the print and colors!
ReplyDeleteJill
Doused In Pink
Thanks, Jill! I guess we pretty much all love scarves! :-)
DeleteThe green scarf and tee look great together, and that is such a nice print on your scarf! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a fan of scarves - even if they are impossible to wear over summer I make up for it in winter. I'm always buying more scarves, so easy to justify buying another one (or two!) sometimes!
Away From The Blue Blog
Thanks, Mica!
DeleteYes, you are enjoying (I'm sure most days) summer right now! One of my favorite things about fall and winter are scarves as it doesn't really get cold enough here for heavy coats, etc.
Hi Andrea, here I finally am on your blog. Very ashamed about that, but blogging is getting demanding these days. Together with a more than full time job, I have the feeling of letting people down left and right. As for scarves... I love them as much as necklaces, so I have loads of them. All nicely folded in a draw and in a closet. Which is a recent achievement. Before they were all over the house. Actually wearing them... not so much. I have great problems knotting them, making them look and sit nicely and not as if you are about to be hanged or as if it is really cold outside. I think I will try your way as I like this outfit you created.
ReplyDeleteGreetje
Hi Greetje, I totally understand how demanding blogging is! There are so many blogs I wish I had the time to visit regularly... Plus, I'm reading more in my reader on my phone, and commenting is tough on the phone...
DeleteYour organized scarves sound wonderful! My scarves are hung up on special hangers with loops for each scarf, but I have a bit overstuffed them (two scarves per loop for several of my smaller scarves), so it's getting a bit out of control again...
And I hear you regarding tying scarves. I came across this video a while ago. It's quite helpful: https://www.facebook.com/DavidAvocadoWolfe/videos/10152626942001512/?fref=nf
I have watched quite a lot of such videos. And I do know two or three ways. It highly depends on the size and material of the scarf. The rotten thing is, they only knot it once. No way it stays put like that. Nice for the video, impossible for real life. I can do more with scarfs that aren't silky / slippery.
DeleteYou are right, it does depend on the material of the scarf as well as on the shape. Silky material is very difficult indeed. On the other hand, I have a few scarves that have quite a bit of linen in them, and I don't seem to be able to completely "unwrinkle" them after I take them off if I tie them (even with steam ironing, etc.).
DeleteI'm a lover of scarves, no surprise I'm sure ; P
ReplyDeleteI like how the scarf picks up the colour in the boots.
I've never heard of that brand Yummie before. They look great on you. I'm going to check them out.
bisous

Thanks, Suzanne.
DeleteI'm pleasantly surprised by the Yummie jeans.
I have a serious scarf issue! You should see the wall of scarves in my closet. And that's only about half of them! You're a gal singing my tune for sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat casual look and fab scarf!
Thanks so much for being a part of Fun Fashion Friday!

DeleteI almost picked up another scarf yesterday, but I managed to control myself (for now)... :-)
I'm loving the colors in your scarf, and it looks perfect paired with the tunic. I don't believe you can have too many scarves, as they are my favorite accessory! Thank you for joining the Weekend Wear link Up!

I do have a lot of scarves... :-) In my defense, many of them are quite old... :-)
DeleteI have purchased a similar olive aztec scarf like two months ago and have yet to wear it. Thanks for reminding me too. I also own a lot of scarves. Just bought the cutest one today for just 3 bucks. I do love the BP scarves, though.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit too. Love the equestrian feel. Casual yet polished. =)
Beautiful colors Andrea. I bought a scarf with similar colors, but a thicker one , more for Winter!
