Black, White, & Grey

I got the reversible wrap two years ago. It was very affordable, and, at the time, I wasn’t even really sure how or when I would wear it. I wore it a few times in the last two years when I quickly needed to “throw something on," but this year it’s become my go-to piece.

I find the neutral colors make it work with lots of outfits. I grab it when we go on our nightly family walk, out shopping, and I even wore it to work last Wednesday.

I also wore my new Adam Lippes for Target flats. They didn’t have them in the store in my size when I went, but I found them online and read that they are quite big. I therefore ordered one-half size smaller than my usual size, and they fit perfectly. I love black and white and am really happy that I got the shoes as I’m always on the lookout for cute flats.

I also wore my black and white necklace that I got at Black House White Market many years ago. It’s a favorite I reach for often.

Overall, I really liked the outfit, and it works well for my life as it works for teaching as well as the rest of my day. It feels really great not to change in the middle of the day!

Questions: Do you like to wear black & white? I love black and white and wear it quite often. Do you wear wraps? I now own two wraps; the one above and the one I got from Jacket Society. It’s REALLY tempting to add more as there are so many great wraps out there, but I’ll try to restrain myself! Have you ever bought any pieces from the Target designer collaborations? I bought several pieces from the Missoni for Target collaboration years ago; one cardigan I nearly wore to death (Andy’s words!) because I loved it so much. I also bought a dress from that Missoni for Target collaboration that hung in my closet for years but which I have recently rediscovered.

Be well,
Andrea

  6. I do love black and white, and these shoes are fab! I haven't gotten any pieces from the Target designer collections, unless we count Isaac Mizrahi, whose stuff I really liked. Thanks for linking up,

  8. Hi Andrea! I love that cape on you. You asked do I wear wraps. Yes and no. It's funny, but there is a particular wrap style I wear. I like it to have a "v" shape at the neckline, it stays put better. I also like ones that flow well, either a thin wool or cashmere. I have a few thick ones that I just can't seem to make work, I know- weird! I love your black and white look. Your shoes need to get together with my Adam Lippes Vest! Love your shoes, great score! As far a Target Collabs, I love them - but, I think one needs to be careful and only truly buy pieces because you love them - not just because they are a Target deal or all over Instagram. They have to work for you and your personal wardrobe!

    1. Yes, this wrap actually has the "v"' and it stays put much better!

I absolutely agree with you regarding being careful with the collaborations; it's easy to get caught up in the hype...

    1. I especially love my wraps for walks. They also work for teaching (which sort of surprised me as I'm writing a lot, etc.). The only time I don't reach for a wrap is when I go to an indoor mall; somehow it tends to get in the way there...

  14. I love this wrap! Gray is one of my favorite neutrals and I like that the wrap has many shades of gray. I'm a newcomer to the wrap scene. Just bought my first one a couple of months ago and have had fun figuring out how to style it. On the topic of black and white, I am a big fan! Those shoes are really nice.

    1. Thanks, Beth! I love the grey wrap because it's easy to wear (it has a "v" shape at the neck, so it stays in place better than other wraps). Plus, the color is so versatile. I'm glad I got the shoes; I'm always searching for cute flats!
