Another Trip

I’m leaving to spend some time with my family. This time I’m going by myself. It was a hard decision to leave the toddler and hubby behind, but it will be nice to spend some uninterrupted time with my family. It will also be easier for the toddler to be in his usual environment.

The last four and a half months since my dad was diagnosed with cancer have been tough. He underwent quite a few brutal treatments, but we are all very glad that things are going well at this point. Nevertheless, it has been an emotional roller coaster. It’s so easy to be upbeat, optimistic, and happy when things are going well. The real test comes when things get rough. I think it’s important to remember that it’s okay not to be happy all the time, but it’s also important to look at the positives in our lives every single day. I am very grateful for my family and friends who have given me reasons to smile, laugh, be silly and carefree (at least for a moment) every day. Tough times really show you whom you can count on. Thank you!

NuNaturals Update:
I haven’t had a chance to try all the NuNaturals products, but I used the Pure Liquid Vanilla Stevia drops in a fruit salad and oatmeal, and they tasted great. Hubby has also been using the drops in his coffee. I think I may have to hide them before I leave. Just kidding. Sort of.

Hubby agreed to do a few guest posts again. The toddler may help too… Smile  I will also update my Tumblr blog.

I’ll miss my guys!!!!

Be well,
Andrea

  1. Hi Andrea- oh I'm so sorry- I didn't know about your dad. I hope that he can cope and he will no doubt appreciate your support. Are they in Germany? Sending you strength- it's very hard to watch those you love suffer.

    Hugs.

  6. You have such great perspective. I agree it's okay to feel down. Crappy things happen and feeling down is part of being human. Traveling mercies to you, friend. Hugs.

  7. Have a great time Andrea. While I'm sure it will be hard to be apart from your family (especially the toddler!) I think it's good to have some true alone time at times, and your dad will appreciate the support and love you bring him.

I don't blame you for hiding the NuNaturals. I've definitely been known to hide food from Nick!!! Usually sweet food, of peanut butter, haha

    Happy Fourth, and safe travels!

  9. Enjoy your trip Andrea and also i can totally understand how hard it would be to leave your guys behind.

I get a rash even thinking about it.

I also think it's healthy to not have to be totally happy all the time. there is a time for it all.

not every moment was meant to be happy. It's the contrasts that make our lives beautiful
    xo
    Happy 4th btw!
