Strawberry Banana Frozen Treat

Ever since I discovered “banana soft serve” on blogs almost two years ago, I buy bananas like crazy as I put any bananas that are getting too ripe into the freezer. Since I only have a mini food processor, I make sure to cut the bananas into small pieces before freezing them as my “baby processor” can’t handle big pieces.

The other day, I felt like something different than usual. I had added cocoa, cinnamon and other spices to the bananas before, but this time I felt like something more fruity, so I was thrilled to “find” some frozen strawberries in the freezer (I’m currently on a mission to clean out the freezer and the pantry, but that’s another post…).

Strawberry Banana Soft Serve

Ingredients
  • 6 small frozen strawberries
  • 2 frozen bananas

Put the strawberries in the food processor and puree them (defrosting them for just a minute helps if your food processor has a hard time). Add the bananas. Process until smooth.

Enjoy!

Questions: Have you ever made banana soft serve? What’s your favorite variation of it? Straight (only bananas)? With cocoa? With cinnamon? With other fruits? Anything else I’m missing out on? I really liked the added strawberries. I had never added other fruits, but I sure will experiment now. I’m thinking blueberries will be next! Hubby declared that he can’t imagine anything better than strawberry banana and said he could eat it every day for the rest of his life. I’ll remember not to share the blueberry banana with him… Winking smile Just kidding…

Be well,
Andrea
