Got balls?

We do. I FINALLY made Averie's raw Gingerbread Cookie balls. Well, I changed the recipe a bit as I can NEVER follow a recipe... Therefore, my balls don’t have ginger (since I didn’t have any, which I didn’t realize until I had already started to make them…). I also didn’t use any sugar. Nonetheless, they turned out fabulous!!! The toddler can’t get enough of them… I can’t wait to make more of Averie’s balls… :-)

Question: What’s the last treat you made?

Be well,
Andrea

  1. The last treat I made was espresso chocolate chip ( lots of chips) muffins. They were so good. I need to make them again soon.

  12. Andrea, thank you for making these and for linking back to them and to my ball recipes massive post!

Looks like you did a great job on them...2 yr old devouring them and all :)

The crazy thing is how did they taste if you didnt use ginger? Maybe just more like a fall-season ball if you used fall spices like pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon? Basically without the ginger, they are larabar-ish, I'd imagine but still yum!

Anyway, thanks for your support w/ my commenting system fiasco the past 24 hrs :)

  17. Hum, no sugar and the toddler loved them? Score!

I like balls of any kind! Ha! :D Just kidding - the last thing I made was a chocolate cake for my hubby - it was bad though - 1/2 cup mayo in the batter, but oh so moist!

  19. Aww, look at him, loving the healthy treats! When I was his age I was eating another type of balls, called buckeyes! They are chocolate covered peanut butter, and we always had them around. I can't believe these balls had zero added sugar, yet he still loved them! That's fantastic.

I made granola and gluten free brownies last night. They were both equally delicious, and the brownies will be better tonight with some ice cream on top!
