The toddler LOVES to go up and down stairs. In fact, he likes taking the stairs even more than pushing the buttons in the elevator! :o) And I love that it's great exercise for him and makes him tired...

Questions: Have you taken the stairs lately? What do you do to move a bit more throughout the day? Be well,
Andrea
Taking the stairs has always been a HUGE part of how I stay fit even when I am not doing scheduled workouts. I work on the 10th floor and always take the stairs down and also try to take them up at least once a day. In my old job I worked on the 3rd floor and used the ladies' room on the 1st, so several times a day I was running up and down. Movement is so important!
ReplyDeleteI chase my toddler! HA
ReplyDeleteour home has stairs so we are doing JUST that all the time!
otherwise, I don't park up front at stores, don't mind walking.... try and take my groceries without the cart (unless there's a ton) for a little walk with weights... and I try and use my housework as cardio!
I love how your bubba's shirt changed it's stripes at the top of the staris!!!! hehehehe
he's a total doll!
I am much more conscious of taking the stairs and getting in random activity since moving abroad. It's a cliche but it is true that everyone walks much more here (to work, to the grocery store, etc), so you just starting doing it out of habit. I really think it makes a difference!
ReplyDeleteYour little one is such a doll!
hehe The toddler is TOO cute! I'm not a stairs taker (my work shoes just don't cut it for the steps) but I'm more like Cindy - parking in Egypt and walking it out, especially at the mall!
ReplyDeleteWhat a freaking cutie pie! I always try to take the stairs, but I admit, I get lazy sometimes :)
ReplyDeleteI am a stairs taker/far parker, you name it. With three kids, I guess I do move a lot more then I did pre-kids so just through day to day life, I am getting a lot of movement in!
ReplyDeleteI take the stairs whenever I can. I also try to park far away and walk to my destination.
ReplyDeleteI take the stairs whenever I can. I also move a lot when working in my garden.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute. My godson just started crawling, so he's going everywhere. LOL. I like taking the stairs. Makes me feel active.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! My almost two year old can go up them, but not down!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was overweight I avoided the stairs at all cost. These days - thank goodness - no big deal!
aww that is so cute that he enjoys walking up and down the stairs :)
ReplyDeleteI always take the stairs no matter what.
i try to take the stairs as much as possible - and i was recently babysitting a baby who is learning to take the stairs - hours of entertainment
ReplyDeletewithout time to exercise, I take the stairs to the seventh floor in the dormitory I work in. It always feels so good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog, Andrea!
ReplyDeleteAww the toddler is absolutely adorable! He is definitely enjoying the workout ;)
I try to take the stairs if possible (we have stairs at home, does that count?). I try not to park really close (although other times I'm tired :P), but I get most of my activity via exercise.
Hey...thanks for checking out my blog. Now I"m checking out yours!!!
ReplyDeleteI take the stairs A LOT at work. Thank heavens because I'm probably be even heavier than I am now if I didn't.

ReplyDeleteI love taking the stairs but I haven't had the opportunity to lately in lifestyle activities. Kinda pumped about university starting again as it means I'll be up and down stairs frequently to and from class :D
Today I was doing squats and calf raises while reading blog posts.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE stairs!! I love going to hotels with lots of floors and climbing the stairs instead of the elevators(I'm probably weird)!! I always take the stairs at work even though it's only two flights.
ReplyDeleteTo move during the day I take a walk over my lunch break. I have an office job so WAY to much sitting. I wiggle around in my chair A LOT!!!
